2002 – 2004

Microsoft — Xbox contractor, then Asheron's Call I & II

Began as a Microsoft-paid Xbox contractor, then hired directly by Microsoft to administer Asheron's Call 1 and support development of Asheron's Call 2 — the MMORPGs developed by Turbine and published by Microsoft Game Studios.

OptimERA, Inc. — Founder & CTO, Head of R&D

Wireless ISP serving Unalaska/Dutch Harbor, Alaska. The company's own business plan names a three-person founding team — Emmett Fitch (CEO), Brett Buffone (General Manager), and Jeff Ferguson (Research & Development) — with dedicated R&D budgets on a formation-era milestone schedule. Still operating in 2026, now partnered with SES Networks and Starlink.

Manifestiville launches

The flagship project of The Manifestations goes public — branding and a live site announcing the venture.

2014 – 2020

The Manifestations, Inc. — President

Officer of record of a Florida corporation built around a town-scale vision — acquiring and redeveloping a California ghost town into a village of guild halls organized under five academies, with a land trust and a membership community. The concept was delivered as a real theme camp at Love Burn Miami in 2017.

2007 – 2015, 2025

Black Rock City & regional burn camp leadership

Attended Black Rock City 2007–2015 and again in 2025, plus dozens of regional burns. Directed a 135-person Love Burn camp with a core team of 35 active volunteers. Camps and projects: Destiny Lounge (2009), Root Society, Chakralicious, Camp Questionmark, and others.

Co-founded and helped fund a cryptocurrency conference at the San Diego Convention Center.

Unique Magic Studio — Magic Leap Independent Creator Program

A collaborator-built studio submitted as a group entry to Magic Leap's Independent Creator Program, including a Celia Cruz AR/VR proposal for the Cuban Diaspora Museum tracing to a first-place win at the 2017 Miami Maker Faire.

XR Labs, Miami

Contributed to a Miami WebXR studio — virtual classrooms, auditoriums, and 3D-scanning services, including a platform partnership (Ozone Universe) that later powered the METABURN build.

Luminous Lotus Temple — Technical & Creative Contributor

3D environment integration and blockchain/NFT asset work on the official 2021 virtual Temple, alongside creator-producer Simeone Scaramozzino.

CoPlay — Garfield Campus, Muncie, Indiana

A venture with Susannah Rosenthal to convert the former Garfield Inc. headquarters into a Science & Technology Park and Family Entertainment Center — including a navigable digital twin of the campus and direct engagement with the property's IP rights holder.
